Cardamom Porridge with Sticky Maple Pears
This is one of the best porridges I’ve made in terms of flavour combinations! It is so simple to make but will brighten up your morning which is what breakfast is all about!

Cardamom Porridge with Sticky Maple Pears
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 50g porridge oats
- 100ml water
- 125ml almond milk
- Pinch of ground cardamom
- Pinch of salt
- 1 pear
- Butter or coconut oil
- Maple syrup
- Almond & espresso butter

Instructions
- Add the oats, water and almond milk to a saucepan with a pinch of ground cardamom and salt. Bring to a simmer and stir for a few minutes until thick and creamy.
- For the maple pears, slice a pear lengthways and add to a frying pan with a knob of butter. Gently cook on a low-medium heat until tender. Add a generous drizzle of maple syrup and turn up the heat to allow the pears to caramelise.
- Serve the porridge with the sticky maple pears and a pool of glossy almond & espresso butter.
